A new finished bird portrait! It’s the 10th reduction linoleum print in this series I’m working on. For this Jackdaw I printed 10 color layers. It is a limited edition of 65 prints, for each color layer I carve away more linoleum from the same block of linoleum. Never before have I made so much color test in the process. Because it is almost a tone-on-tone color palette, it required great precision to mix exactly the right color that could be printed on top of the previous color. This was definitely the most difficult bird portrait print to make so far in this series.
